GEORGE TOWN: Bukit Bendera Umno division chief Datuk Ahmad Ismail has reiterated he would not apologise over his alleged racist remark, calling the Chinese community “immigrants who do not deserve equal rights”.
He told reporters Friday at Penang Umno headquaters he was merely referring to the country's history before Merdeka and was referring to the Chinese labour brought in by the British.
Ahmad also blamed the reporter of a Chinese daily for twisting his (Ahmad's) words for his own agenda.
Ahmad was alleged to have called the Chinese 'pendatang' (immigrants) at a ceramah prior to the Permatang Pauh by-election.
His statement caused a furore and condemnation from various political parties both within the Barisan Nasional and outside.
Several police reports were also lodged against him.

Malaysia is a mess.. Without chinese or other races. Malaysia is a BIGGER mess.
